Then and Now. Wellington marina.

Ferguson Ltd. postcard, Gold Medal series, c.1910-1914

Sent from 67 Hawker Street, Wellington. No date.

Dear Mrs …….
Fancy, a little over a year ago we were all in Auckland and now you are in [Fiji?] and us here and the rest in Auckland. I have been waiting for that long letter but I suppose you are too busy with Baby. Our residence is shown on this p.c. but a mast of a boat spoils the house [second mast from left]. We are living in a lovely sunny place, a good hill to climb and three doors below Redemptorist Fathers church, it is shown on the top. Oriental Bay is just a little to the right* …… and Mt. Victoria is the Mt. behind. We have a most magnificent view of harbour, wharves, city, and the surrounding hills from the back rooms, our dining room and our best room. Also mum’s, and the kitchen overlooks the sea. Suppose your sisters will soon be over to see you. Kind regards to Mrs……. and best love to yourself and baby from an old Aucklander. So write soon and tell me what your [life?] is like.
Theresa Cullen.
